East Bay Health is a women-founded, non-profit Direct Primary Care clinic with a mission to provide easy access to high quality primary care while supporting health equity in our community.
Founders Dr. Naomi Breckon and Dr. Tracy Hu met as residents of John Muir Health. As a direct primary care clinic, East Bay Health gives more time to patients than insurance-led healthcare models can afford and at a flat, annual rate. As a non-profit, East Bay Health subsidizes healthcare for locals without insurance or other means, while keeping the annual rates for paying patients competitive with direct primary care found locally. With the help of chef Cindy Gershen, founder of Walnut Creek’s Sunrise Bistro, East Bay Health also provides “food as medicine” classes in our community kitchen adjacent to our clinic.
